pn558. The latest Colmar Brunton poll

The latest Colmar Brunton poll conducted last week gives Labour a clear majority and makes a coalition with the Greens increasingly likely.

Support (%) ± Changed

Seats in Parliament

Labour

46 - 1

59

National

31 - 1

40

ACT

8 n/c

10

Greens

8 +2

Labour does not quite have enough to govern alone. They will need the support of the Greens. No other party looks likely to enter Parliament.

Some 15% still did not know or refused to answer. Commenting on the poll in the last Leaders' Debate, Jacinda Ardern thought some of the “refused” had already voted, and Judith Collins said most National supporters always voted on election day. I thought both comments were rather weak.

The poll results on the referenda (sic!) showed slightly less support for the end of life referendum (60%, down 4) and slighly more against (33% + 8).

On cannabis support was 41%, up 6%, and opposition 51%, down 2%

Some 15% of those polls said they did not know or refused to answer. Disinterested, clueless, or just too thoughtful?
