Rabuka is the common denominator – Tabuya
Lynda Tabuya has resigned from SODELPA and is joining Sitiveni Rabuka’s People’s Alliance Party.
Tabuya is the former SODELPA Whip in parliament.
She was also the former SODELPA Nasinu Constituency President.
While making the announcement at Holiday Inn at a People’s Alliance press conference, Tabuya says she handed in her resignation at the SODELPA Headquarters this morning.
She says she has also given her resignation to the Registrar of Political Parties.
The resignation is effective immediately.
She adds as she looks back at her time in SODELPA, she does so with a thankful heart and is indeed grateful for the past five years.
Tabuya says recently supporters in her constituency in Nasinu including the blessings of the head of the Yavusa Matanikorovatu Ratu Paula Rawiriwiri in Kalabu as well hundreds of thousands of supporters in Fiji and overseas have expressed their disappointment and disillusionment with the current state of the SODELPA leadership.
She says after listening carefully to them, she has taken their advice to join her leader Sitiveni Rabuka at the People’s Alliance Party.
Tabuya adds she joined SODELPA because of Rabuka who was the party leader at the time.
She says Rabuka is the common denominator that was in SODELPA and is now in People’s Alliance
Tabuya says she is thankful for Rabuka’s faith in her and is extremely confident that People’s Alliance will form the next government.
People’s Alliance Leader Sitiveni Rabuka says he has always said that the door is open for anyone that wants to join.
