NZ Listener Letters on Climate Change

pn301
The NZ Listener published a record number of letters on one topic in its current issue (March 16-22), nine letters  on Climate Change, thereby demonstrating once again its place as our #1 weekly magazine.   At least one of our editorial teams is taking climate change seriously. Congratulations, NZ Listener!

One of the letters suggested listening to Bad Moon Rising recorded over 50 years ago by John Fogerty in the  Creedence Clearwater Revival. Plug in your headphone, click here and skip the ad to listen.   Here are the lyrics:

Bad Moon Rising

Creedence Clearwater Revival

I see a bad moon a-rising
I see trouble on the way

I see earthquakes and lightnin'
I see bad times today
Don't go 'round tonight
It's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise
I hear hurricanes a-blowing
I know the end is coming soon
I fear rivers over flowing
I hear the voice of rage and ruin
Don't go 'round tonight
It's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise
I hope you got your things together
I hope
And now the letters.  Note especially the Letter of the Week. A NZ Upper Atmospheric physicist has made 23 science-based submissions on climate disruption to all MPs since 2009, totalling 86,494 words —with almost zero response!  What does that tell us?
