SOCIAL Democratic Liberal Party parliamentarians were yesterday reminded to remain firm in their faith during times of turmoil and disappointment.
This was the message relayed by the President of the Christian Mission Fellowship International (CMFI) the Rev Suliasi Kurulo in his sermon during the SODELPA thanksgiving church service at the World Harvest Centre in Kinoya, Nasinu. He said it was important that they waited on God’s time while enduring the tough times.
“Always be strong during tough times because this is the moment when your faith is tested and you should remember that your enemies will try to manoeuvre their way around you, let God be your strength,” Mr Kurulo said.
“The evil spirit will try to intimidate you but always remain firm in your faith.”
He also told the SODELPA MPs to always remain humble in times of tribulation.
“Endure the tough times with a humble and patient attitude. Wait on God’s time and remember, lawlessness, unethical behaviours and increase in crimes have become worse because we are nearing the end of times.
“Life is a battle. There will be challenges but whoever puts God first in their lives will be strengthened and renewed.”
The Opposition Leader Sitiveni Rabuka said the thanksgiving church service was aimed at bringing all the MPs together as they ended the first session of parliament proceedings.
“This is just a time for us to get spiritual awakening and at the same time it is an encouragement as we have a long journey ahead of us,” he said.
Some SODELPA MPs present at the service included Ro Teimumu Kepa, Aseri Radrodro, Lynda Tabuya, Adi Litia Qionibaravi, Salote Radrodro, Ratu Antonio Lalabalavu, Peceli Vosanibola and others.
