The Link to Croz's Radio Interview

http://www.radionz.co.nz/audio/national/ngts/2010/01/25/south_pacific_report
It was a bit rushed and I missed out on completing my last point but, thanks to Bryan Crump, the interviewer, we covered a lot of ground.

There are two errors.  I should have said Parmesh  Chand, not Paresh Singh. And Bryan spoke of the appointment of High Commissioners. The posts are for Counsellors (a much lower position), and later, hopefully, Deputy Heads of Mission, then Heads.

Croz, aren't you being a bit like the regime in Fiji by removing anonymous posts in the way you've started to do in the last few hours? I think it's a very regrettable development. It's the kind of thing I'd have expected from the hardline extremist blog sites, not yours. I thought you were better than this. Short of obscenity or insult, people shouldn't be censored in this way just because they don't want to play ball. You've allowed anonymous postings until now. Why the sudden and brutal change?

There's no security risk in adding a pseudonym within a comment and then clicking Anonymous. The person is still anonymous but having a pseudonym helps everyone to discuss each other's comment. Everyone's comments are welcome, whatever their political views, but we must have some way of knowing which Anonymous is which. Surely, this is not too much to ask?

P.S. Right to remain anonymous is an acceptable pseudonym.

That was a good interview Croz. What I cant comprehend is, why all this fuss about a nominee being a military man, when the whole idea of it all is to establish ties with a military govt. My argument is based on the fact that a Fijian magistrate had to fight tooth and nail to get a NZ visa for the treatment of her child, which leads me to believe that not only military personnel, but other law abiding citizens are on travel ban. So, will NZ accept Pramesh, who is the key man in the military PM's office? Is NZ aware that the majority of ex Fijians now living in NZ support the military govt in Fiji? Why not have a concensus on this, and do what the majority wants you to do, ie those voters who voted against Helen for this very reason.

Frank has attained hero status in Fiji and abroad so much so that there is a cult following that profess his exploits a la Chuck Norris...

"Frank Bainimarama destroyed the periodic table because he only recognises the element of surprise"

"Frank Bainimarama reset the Doomsday Clock so that Fiji can go to the polls in 2014. The world will therefore not end on the 21st of December 2012"

"Anonymouses" - how about adding a number after Anonymous - then we will know which Anonymous is which. Very good interview Croz - hope the powers that be hear it.

Croz - i am not a fan of this hard line delete anonymous posts policy esp if the comments are in disagreement with you. Comeone we are all from Fiji - our attitude is always to accomodate peoples differences. I agree it is annoying when the posts are hard to follow if it is by anon but why not let them be

Qanibulu, what element of surprise? Frank gave Qarase some 18months notice to improve his governance or he would step in. Hence 2006 takeover of Qarase government missed the hallmark of a coup - the element of surprise.

Snoopy,
There's a misunderstadning on this one. The comment is still anonymous. Witness this example:

Croz - sorry i dont get it. It seems you are deleting posts from Anonymous... More info would be appreciated as I am a Liberal left winger hahah

BTW i have noticed a lot more readers on your blog going by the counter on the page. Yours is now the #2 Blog on Fiji after Coup 4.5 Do you know why the sudden increase in readers and followers. I think it is great news and you really are helping make a difference. The amount of incorrect reporting in Fiji makes me sick!! As i have said numerous times I am not a Banimarama supporter but i have no vested interest in what he is doing and i can see and hear from many, many people in Fiji that he is doing an unbelievably good job. The Govt makes a few mistakes too but in general Fiji has come a long way in the last 12 months.

Why is Croz's blog leaping ahead? Because it's sensible and he provides regular updates. Coup Four point five is hopeless. What they dish out is highly selective and if you want to comment, they censor you and then take days to put it up. On top of that, you have to put up with idiots like the demented Sydney nurse, Mark Manning, or the mad Lami bread magnate, Mere Samisoni. They won't last. Croz will.
