(-) A Little Light Relief from Intelligentsiya

"No YOU Are Wrong Sir Paul

This chap and his recent views disappoint and concern us greatly. So much so, we can hardly believe that he was one of the key architects of our Constitution. No Sir Paul, YOU are wrong. And bloody damned well wrong too."

[Intelligentsiya is an extreme anti-Government blog, and probably the first political blog to be published after the 2006 Coup.]

Has Phil Goff allowed himself to be influenced by the raving of the revealed 'unintelligent'? Calling for a Seasonal Workers Scheme demonstrates a 'Them and Us' mentality: calling for crumbs from a High Table. Not smart. The developed countries of the South Pacific should be looking far ahead of this. Nothing less than a Free South Pacific Region is going to do and it needs to come about in a time-bound manner and frame. There is no purchase in what they are currently sustaining. The two Super Powers are moving into the South Pacific to imaginatively move things on (to their own interest) - as they ought to have been done at least a decade ago. The withdrawal of the Peace Corps was a sign of 'no eye on the ball'. Calling for elections in August/September 2001 in Fiji was a massive failure of principle and foresight. It was also an infringement of rights and an abandonment of any hint of a commitment towards sustained and creative development in a region so needy.
