Oh dear Oz and NZ must be shaking in their boots that two great powers like PNG and Fiji have combined forces against them? The increasing poor of both poorly led nations must be wetting their pants with excitement. Does Davis actually believe this crap that he writes? Surely he doesn't get paid for such rubbish.
As for the Fiji military dictator going to the G77 whatever - all that tells us is that the UN needs to lift its game. As I recall fools like Gaddafi also big noted himself at the UN...last I heard he was in a ditch...

The only ones shaking in their boots are the old political parties of Fiji, and the end is nigh for them. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Long live King Frank and his govt.

Australia GDP per capita (World Bank) $39,465; New Zealand $31,082; Fiji $4700 and PNG $1480. Who is scaring who?

These World Bank figures are all biased and unfair against the developing countries. Everybody knows that PNG is an efficient resource economy the same as Australia. But the Western world has staged a smear campaign against the Melanesian brotherhood. Look where they rank themselves in the Transparency International Corruption index: Denmark No1, Finnland No2 and most ridiculous New Zeland No3. Papua New Guinea in contrast is ranked 150 a couple of ranks below Syria. How can this be? We should stop believing the self serving propaganda that the likes of World Bank, Asian Development Bank and the EU try to sell us.

@ John F

If you believe this nonsense, you will believe anything. Try some critical, well and broadly-informed approaches for a change. There is nothing so beyond-the-pale that misguided thinking will not make it so!
